I need to understand the installation on a Windows machine

Good morning everybody!
I have a very basic question regarding installation, so please help me understand this initial foundation.
Consider the following scenario:

  • I have a Windows 10 formatted machine.
  • I correctly installed WSL2.
  • Installed Docker Desktop for Windows 10.

Will I need to install Ubuntu (or any linux distribution) on the machine to be able to start my studies seriously or can I just do this on windows?
I want to learn Docker to access MongoDB, Redis and Postgres databases from a Web.API application.
