Issue with MCP Extension windows 11

I encountered an error while trying to install an extension in Docker Desktop. The extension in question is the docker MCP Toolkit. In short, I received the error message after pressing the “Install” button. However, I was able to install other extensions successfully.

I have attempted to reinstall the Docker Desktop application and restart the application/computer multiple times, but to no avail. Here are some specifications of my device that might help:

Available storage space on C: drive: 5 GB.

Docker Desktop version: 4.41.2 (191736)

Operating System: Windows 11.

WSL2 Installed.

Is there a solution available?

I could not reproduce it in Docker Desktop 4.42 (on macOS) and 4.41.2 (on Windows 11). You could still try to update to 4.42 on Windows.

Can you pull the image in the error message manually in the terminal?

A known issue is that sometimes you need to log in or out just to trigger a process that fixes some tokens, but I think that would affect all the images, not just one. You can still try that too.
