Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Downloaded and installed Docker beta for mac today Apr. 20
      Version 1.11.0-beta7 (build: 5830)
      8b45bc3afc0ca2363890032ac63b003d80ccc242
  1. Clicked Docker → Dashboard …
  2. Prompted to download Kitematic(Beta) did so, unzipped, double-clicked.
  3. Error encountered.

I’m also seeing this, except from CloudFront.

“Kitematic (Beta)” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

Google Chrome downloaded this file today at 4:53 PM from d2a7s5xu46jmxv.cloudfront.net.

@paulyoung85 Does rebooting your Mac fix the issue? We’ve seen several reports of OSX reporting downloads as corrupted, even through the aren’t and it seems to clear on a reboot.

@davetucker that did fix the issue. Thanks for the help.

I rebooted and still have the problem, is there a hash of the download so I can at least be sure its not corrupted?

changing the setting “allow apps downloaded from:” to the anywhere setting allows it to run. You can change it back once the application has started once

Is this an issue with the application certificate?

I can confirm this. with the default security settings, the mac reports that the app is damaged.
With allow apps downloaded from: anywhere, Kitematic (Beta) opens just fine.
