Mac M1 install Docker Desktop - Error invoking remote method 'desktop-go-backend

I’m trying to get started with Docker Desktop but I’m not able to finalize the installation. When I get the popup to “Finish setting up Docker Desktop” and I select “Use recommended settings” this error pops up. I’ve trying deleting docker and resintalling as well as using brew install -cask docker but the error persists.

I’m using MacOS Ventura on an Apple M1 Ultra chip.

Error invoking remote method 'desktop-go-backend': Error: {"message":"installing vmnetd: retrieving vmnetd version from /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.docker.vmnetd.plist: reading plist /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.docker.vmnetd.plist: open /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.docker.vmnetd.plist: no such file or directory\\n\\\n\\\n\\\n\\*Command).execute\n\\*Command).ExecuteC\n\\*Command).Execute\n\\nmain.main\n\\nruntime.main\n\truntime/proc.go:250\nruntime.goexit\n\truntime/asm_arm64.s:1172\\n\\\n\\\n\\*Command).execute\n\\*Command).ExecuteC\n\\*Command).Execute\n\\nmain.main\n\\nruntime.main\n\truntime/proc.go:250\nruntime.goexit\n\truntime/asm_arm64.s:1172"}

I am having the same issue, let me know if you were able to fix it and how
