Docker on Windows Server 2019

Hello everyone,

I’ve been running Docker on a Windows Server 2019 for a long time now without any issues. Recently, I wanted to apply an update, but the Docker installation now reports that I need Windows 10 Pro.
Has anyone experienced similar issues? I’d prefer to stick with Windows Server 2019.

We’ve detected that you have an incompatible version of Windows.

Docker Desktop requires Windows 10 Pro/Enterprise/Home version 19044 or above.

To continue with the installation, upgrade Windows to a supported version and then re-run the installer.

The answer is yes, people have run into this problem, a simple forum search would have produced the relevant threads

Thank you very much for sharing the link. I sincerely appreciate your assistance! Despite my efforts, it seems that I overlooked it during my research. Your help is invaluable, and I am truly grateful for your support.

Good luck on your Docker endeavors, be it on legacy Docker Desktop or after upgrading your OS

Thank you!
I just finished, I migrated everything to Ubuntu Docker and also switched the Unifi controller from Windows to a Docker container. I think that’s safer.

Now it’s time to learn Linux
