"Docker" prevented updates being installed

Expected behavior

Installing Mac updates should work and the host should restart if it tries. Maybe it should block restart if there are running containers but in this case there were none.

Actual behavior

The Mac updates are not installed with the system message:

“Docker” prevented updates being installed

Information

  • the output of:
    • pinata diagnose -u on OSX
    • DockerDebugInfo.ps1 using Powershell on Windows
