BSOD every time I try to run Docker toolbox on Windows 7

I installed Docker Toolbox and had all sorts of problems, first with environment variables (added them manually), then with the virtualization (enabled it on BIOS). When I was finally able to complete the installation and try to run the Docker Quickstart Terminal, it crashes every single time, sometimes right away, sometimes a minute or 2 later. The screen goes snowy and flickers and then I get the BSOD. It asks me to make sure I have enough disk space and mentioned the ntfs.sys file before it restarts.
I have 4 GB RAM, 235 GB free on the HD, and it’s an AMD A6-3420 1.5 GHz running Windows 7 Home Edition.

The event viewer shows:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Pasting more details below.

Is there anything I can try or is my laptop just too old to run Docker?

Thanks in advance!
