I did not get any confirmation email after installing docker. I tried few times for resend but still no email from docker in my email box.
Wat exactly is that you did? You opened the topic in “Billing and Subscription”. Do you have a problem with that?
Also just because you Install Docker you don’t get an email. Only if you register on Docker Hub. So What is the exact issue?
Sorry but this is my first time on this forum so probably I made a mistake with choosing the correct channel. I installed docker desktop and was waiting for confirmation email. I tried few times and it did nto arrive. I changed email address and it worked but my preferred email is blocked. And yes I have an account on docker hub because I registered during installation.
As community members, we can’t help with confirmation mails unfortunately, but there was an issue with the authentication which was recognized by Docker hours after you reported the issue here and was fixed in 20 minutes. If the email haven’t arrived yet, you can
- Go to Docker Hub directly, (https://hub.docker.com/), try to log in and chose “Forgot password”. If it doesn’t allow you to send a new password, you can try to wait a day and try again, but until then.
- Check the spam folders
- You can report the issue on GitHub: https://github.com/docker/hub-feedback/issues
It seems there was no new report about the authentication, but I found this
Which looks similar to your issue, but it happened more than a week ago. The first indicates tha that you could log in to Docker Hub and try to resend the link. But if you have the same issue, it might not work. Then you can comment on GitHub sharing that you have the same issue.
Note: This topic could be in the Docker Desktop or Docker Hub category as well, but I’m going to move it to Docker Hub, becuse I think it is more likely that the issue is with Docker Hub and not Docker Desktop.
