Troubleshooting (Sign in)

Issue Description

When I try to sign in to Docker Desktop, clicking the “Sign In” button opens my web browser and directs me to the authentication page.
Although the authentication seems to succeed, I am immediately redirected back to the Docker Desktop application,
where I see the message:
“You are signed out”
“Sign in to share images and collaborate with your team”
I am unable to sign in, and this process repeats in an endless loop.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Tried

  1. Completely exited and restarted Docker Desktop
(Quit from the whale icon in the task tray, then started again)

  2. Launched Docker Desktop with administrator privileges

  3. Changed the default web browser
    (Switched between Edge and Chrome)

  4. Cleared browser cache and cookies

  5. Disabled proxy/VPN
(Turned off Windows proxy settings and any VPN connections)

  6. Temporarily disabled security software and firewall

  7. Updated Docker Desktop to the latest version

  8. Performed “Reset to factory defaults” in Docker Desktop

  9. Confirmed Docker Hub account status via the web
(Successfully signed in on the website; 2FA is not enabled)

  10. Tried using a different Windows user account

  11. Downgraded to an earlier version of Docker Desktop
    (e.g., 4.27.x; same issue persists)

We had many similar issues, but not many solutions. A few solved cases I remember was probably just a delay in updating the UI.

You have done a lot already, but you could try this troubleshooting guide as well

It also includes how and where you can share the logs with Docker.
