From Docker Desktop on Windows, clicking on the “Sign-in” button triggers the opening of a browser. Edge, in this case. However, it is not this browser that has been declared by default but Firefox.
I looked for a key/value pair in all the .json files in the installation folders, but there was no entry that corresponded to any browser.
No solution on the web.

Not sure if this was the case for you, but if you run Docker as a different user (e.g. an administrator) then you have to change the default browser for the other/administrator account as well.
